The Art of Piano Playing

There are two best things about a concert pianist’s life; the opportunity to travel around the world and meet different musicians. This happened to me last May when I traveled to “the most exciting city in the world” to play in the winners recital of the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition at the Weil Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall.
New York is an amazing city for every artist; it has all kind of art manifestations and opportunities. The winners recital of the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano competition was an excellent opportunity for networking with many pianists and it gave me the opportunity to meet Mr. Thomas Yu, a Canadian amateur pianist. When I visited his website: www.thomasyu.com, I noticed a blog in where Mr. Yu wrote about his experiences as a pianist. I was so excited about this idea that I decided to build my own space.
The title “The Art of Piano Playing” is inspired from the book of Henrich Nehaus with the same title. I consider this book as one of the most important books for pianists. The purpose of this blog is to discuss about different musical topics and also to share with you about my performance experiences.
